Here are the videos that are the results of the quiz here. I don’t know if I can recommend watching them all in their entirety in one sitting as it may cause your head to explode. Some are “mashups” that are classic dances set to “modern” music, and some are just evidence that great music and great dancing go together…even if you suspect that they wouldn’t. Enjoy!
1. “Superstition” + Belly Dance
2. “Swan Lake” + Pole Dance (hubba hubba!)
3. “Look on the Bright Side” + Silly Cats
4. “Around the World” + The Charleston
5. “Sexyback” + Tap Dance
6. “Numa Numa” + Ballet En Pointe
Yes, International Dance Week will continue….next time: The Many Reasons We Dance aka More Mayhem on the Move!

“Around The World” plus The Charleston is AWESOME!
jimsmuse sez: Actually the original video of “Around the World” is as mind-bending as the awesome mashup. If you’ve never seen it, check it out here. Now that I think about it, there’s some great dancing in it, too!

Wow…Who knew!!! It takes mad skillz to hang on a pole like that LOL
My favs are Sexyback with tap dancing and Around the World with the Charleston
May I suggest therapy for your You Tube addiction???
Of course, I totally enjoy your “research” so we could call it a public service much like I call Dishy’s wine tasting and reviews a public service.
jimsmuse sez: I love those “mashups” too, but I think my favorite has got to be the pole dance — I admire that gal very much for: a) taking a risk by using “classical” music for her dance; and b) being able to hang upside down like that!

I actually don’t care for the original dancing. The video is cute, but they are just ‘bopping’.
jimsmuse sez: I’ve always liked the video and the song, but the Charleston mashup is so awesome that I think I prefer it to the original!

I followed over from Connie and I adore this mash-up thing.
Seeing as I’ve just joined the ‘aughts (someone got a texting plan this weekend), yours were the first mash-ups I’ve ever watched.
jimsmuse sez: I ran a cross quite a few of them while searching for “real” dance videos on YouTube and I think they’re great also…stay tuned, Stephanie — I’m about to post the coolest one yet!

Oh no! That Swan Lake is repulsive!!! Was it means to be humorous? I could not watch more than 30 seconds! That was evil!
